HG Polska Sp. z o.o. is the Polish subsidiary of HG International B.V., an international leader in the production of specialist, effective, and high-quality cleaning, maintenance, and protection products for the home and garden. Our products are available in over 40 countries worldwide – in Poland, you can find them in major retail chains, drugstores, and DIY markets.

To support our growth, we are looking for an Financial Accountant who will be based at our headquarters in Almere, the Netherlands. In this role, your primary responsibility will be managing the administration and accounting for HG Polska, while also supporting the HQ finance team with broader accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting process for the Polish entity in compliance with local regulations.

  • Book costs (including personnel costs) and other financial documents to the correct accounts, ensuring budget and plan alignment.

  • Prepare VAT, CIT, and other tax declarations; contribute to annual financial statements.

  • Handle basic HR administration for Poland (holiday records, payroll calculations, contact with ZUS).

  • Oversee settlements, payments, and document flow.

  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for the Polish management and the HQ.

  • Reconcile receivables with contractors and monitor overdue payments.

  • Liaise with local authorities and institutions in Poland (Tax Office, ZUS, GUS).

Job requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in full-cycle accounting.

  • Solid knowledge of Polish and Dutch/international tax law and accounting regulations.

  • Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Good command of English (spoken and written); Polish language skills are essential for communication with local authorities.
