Job description

HG Polska Sp. z o.o. is the Polish subsidiary of HG International B.V., an international leader in the production of specialist, effective, and high-quality cleaning, maintenance, and protection products for the home and garden. Our products are available in over 40 countries worldwide – in Poland, you can find them in major retail chains, drugstores, and DIY markets.

To support our growth, we are looking for a Financial Accountant (based at our headquarters in Almere, the Netherlands). In this role you will manage the financial administration for Poland and Germany, while also supporting corporate finance.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor administration for Poland (40%), Germany (40%) and Corporate (20%).

  • Support the Country Manager in Poland, ensuring smooth remote collaboration without impact from distance.

  • Handle financial administration tasks including payroll, VAT returns, annual accounts, balance specifications, cost analysis, and insurance matters.

  • Assist the HQ administration team with daily accounting tasks.

  • Liaise with local payroll providers, auditors, and authorities in DE/PL.

  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for local management and HQ.

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with local and corporate regulations.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s level working/thinking level (Wykształcenie wyższe).

  • Ready for a 2nd or 3rd career step (e.g. former Financial Accountant or Junior Financial Controller).

  • Solid experience with accountancy in Germany and/or Poland, including direct contact with local payroll and auditors.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, able to manage cross-country administration from a distance.

  • Proactive, accurate, and communicative.
